SA120A Oil and Gas Separator Installation and Use:

1. There is a safety valve on the end cover of the air compressor oil separator tank. When the air pressure in the oil separator tank reaches 1.1 times the set value, the safety valve automatically opens to release some air and reduce the pressure inside the tank. To check the safety valve, gently pull the venting lever on the safety valve when the compressor is fully loaded. If the safety valve can vent air outward, it is considered normal.

2. A pressure gauge is installed on the oil separator tank to detect the pre-filter pressure. A drain valve is located at the bottom of the tank. Open the drain valve regularly to discharge water and contaminants settled at the bottom.

3. A transparent oil level sight glass is located beside the oil separator tank to display the oil level inside. The correct oil level is in the middle of the upper and lower marks when the air compressor is operating normally. Too high a level may cause oil loss, while too low a level may affect the machine's safety.

4. The oil separator tank is a pressure vessel and must be produced by a qualified professional manufacturer. Each tank has a unique serial number and certificate.

SA120A Air Filter Element Installation and Use:

1. During installation, ensure a tight and reliable connection between the air filter and the engine intake pipe, whether using flanges, rubber hoses, or direct connections, to prevent air leakage. Rubber gaskets must be installed on both ends of the filter element. Do not overtighten the wing nuts securing the air filter cover to avoid damaging the paper filter element.

2. During maintenance, never clean the paper filter element with oil, as this will cause it to fail and may lead to engine overspeed accidents. Only use vibration, soft brushing (along the folds), or compressed air back-blowing to remove dust and dirt from the surface. For the coarse filter section, promptly remove dust from the dust collection area, blades, and cyclone tubes. Even with careful maintenance, the paper filter element cannot fully restore its original performance, and its intake resistance will increase. Therefore, generally, after the fourth maintenance, the filter element should be replaced. If the paper filter element is cracked, perforated, or the filter paper is detached from the end cap, replace it immediately.

3. During use, prevent the paper element air filter from getting wet in rain, as absorption of large amounts of water will significantly increase intake resistance and shorten its life. Additionally, the paper element air filter should not contact oil or fire.

4. Some vehicle engines are equipped with cyclone air filters. The plastic cover at the end of the paper filter element is a deflector. The blades on the cover cause the air to rotate, separating 80% of the dust by centrifugal force, which is collected in the dust collection cup. Only 20% of the inhaled dust reaches the paper filter element, with an overall filtration efficiency of about 99.7%. Therefore, when maintaining the cyclone air filter, ensure not to omit the plastic deflector cover.

SA120A Engine Oil Filter Technical Features:

Filter Paper: Engine oil filters require higher quality filter paper than air filters, mainly because oil temperatures vary from 0 to 300 degrees Celsius. Under drastic temperature changes, the oil's viscosity also changes, affecting the oil filtration flow rate. High-quality engine oil filter paper must filter impurities under severe temperature changes while ensuring sufficient flow.

Rubber Sealing Ring: High-quality engine oil filters use special synthetic rubber for the sealing ring to ensure 100% no oil leakage.

Anti-Drainback Valve: Only available in high-quality engine oil filters. It prevents the oil filter from drying out when the engine is off; when the engine is restarted, it immediately generates pressure to supply oil for engine lubrication. (Also known as a check valve)

Bypass Valve: Only available in high-quality engine oil filters. When the external temperature drops to a specific value or when the oil filter exceeds its normal service life, the bypass valve opens under special pressure, allowing unfiltered oil to flow directly into the engine. Although this allows impurities to enter the engine, the damage is much less than that caused by no oil in the engine. Therefore, the bypass valve is key to protecting the engine in emergencies. (Also known as a relief valve)
